One reason we could probably be heard well is that our audio was highly processed for the time with a Gates Sta-level compressor running on double recovery time with about 20 db of compression and the Gates LA-39 peak limiter set on the fastest recovery time and set for 15 db of limiting.

November 29, 2015 at 9:25 AM
DX Adventurerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17761580261057798315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1544382238317398005.post-2242979842500461922015-11-29T09:25:28.559-06:002015-11-29T09:25:28.559-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.DX Adventurerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17761580261057798315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1544382238317398005.post-68285725907130533592015-11-28T18:50:25.672-06:002015-11-28T18:50:25.672-06:00In the last half of the 1960s, KBGO could be heard...In the last half of the 1960s, KBGO could be heard in Vancouver, Canada, at three different times of the week. My verification letter from the station is signed by Roland Richter for reception on Friday, December 16, 1966, at 11:36 pm Waco time. The station was also a regular at Monday morning signon, when they drowned out KLOU, which signed on a little earlier. Around 1970, I noticed KBGO several days in a row in the winter before sunset Vancouver time, around 6:20 p.m. Waco time, running, if I recall correctly, "The World Tomorrow" religious program.

I was always amazed how well the station came in on both 1000 watt day pattern and 500 watt night pattern. When KDAY Santa Monica, CA, was on the air, it was simply a matter of nulling them out.Jonhttp://cfprjon.comnoreply@blogger.com
